I'm not sure if anyone else found this (Search bar gives me nothing about this block on this forum so I'm gonna post it anyways.) I was just playing around with slabs today using imcpeedit and I edited a stone slab to damage value 1 and 2, I found out that it gives you wood and brick slabs in return. But once you get the damage value to 3, it turns into sandstone slabs. This was originall in the PC version of the game. But thats not the point. Then I edited it to 6 damage value. And I got a weird stone slab. It has a lighter texture of a stone slab and the name is called stone slab. When compare it with a regular stone slab the mysterious block has a more "purified" stone texture. And if you stack them on too of each other the slabs will turn into another block instead of the slabs stacking on top of each other like an ordinary stone slabs. It looks like this:
Notch originally said this block was meant to be in game but for some particular reason it was never developed in the game. It looks like a purified stone and has a light stone color.
:-) :-P
Also, what does the update block do? The one with the black texture with white stuff that looks like snowflakes. And the block with dirt background that says Update???

The two update blocks are used to replace unknown blocks when you load a world created with a new version of Minecraft PE. For example, try loading a world with a nether reactor in an older version of the game.
I have no idea which snowflake you are talking about. Maybe you're thinking of cobwebs? ChrisMCMine found that it was included.
Are you sure it's just not the cross-hair? I mean, when you point the + mark on a block it goes lighter. If you put the cross-hair away from the block then I can actually see the light block

Your at the names of each of the paintings, confused me too when I saw "Bomb, Aztec, DonkeyKong, Flaming Skull" etc, until I realized there are paintings that match those too.

Did you know I make music? Just click my logo to listen to my awesome Electronic beats!
Two options:
1. You used an edit or installed something from other places other than minecraft
2. The light is funny (maybe it's some sort of lighting error)

Ya I noticed that later on too...

http://www.minecraftwiki.net/wiki/Slabs#History mentioned that the #6 slab was implemented in Beta 1.8.
