Hi everybody,
So i'm looking to start hosting a server for me and like 10 friends. I've found these three hosts:
Minocity- http://www.mineocity...g.com/index.php
CraftingHost- http://craftinghost....ecraft-servers/
HostLegend- http://hostlegend.co...ices_minecraft/

I would use the one GB plan, and the prices for those isn't an issue.
My question to you all is which is the best. Which company is fast, reliable, and friendly? Is customer service good? Are the servers they run fast and reliable?

I read through a couple pages, but not all, so sorry if any of these questions repeat.

Is there a limit on map size?
If I change packages half way through a month, how does that affect billing?
How often does the server back up?
are there any limits on plug ins?
do you wait for stable Bukkit releases, beta, or is it optional?

Hi, after a very long time of looking for a server for me and around 10 friends to play on, I have narrowed the search down to you guys and two other services. You then became the winner for overall great services, support, and servers. I was just wondering, for vanilla servers, what are the differences between Minecraft servers and budget servers. I was also wondering if you guys use SDDs, and if so, for which plans.

Sorry for not answering this sooner. The three mentioned hosts are all different style providers. We at Mineocity are an SSD, shared environment based host. Unfortunately we are in no position to comment on the other hosts.

Hi zarreth,
Thanks for reaching out.

1. No, as long as it does not use an abusive amount of space (proportional to the RAM you rent).
2. You will only pay for difference in price between the plans, pro-rated to how much time remains on your cycle.
3. Currently we do not have automated backups by default, but you can set this up on the panel. We will also be announcing a new system within the next few weeks.
4. The only limitation is how much RAM you chose to rent. If the server can run it within your allocation, we allow it.
5. We have three versions of Bukkit on our panel: Stable (RB), Dev, and Beta (deprecated by Bukkit).

Thanks for contacting us!
Our standard plans use SSD based hosting, while our budget plans use standard drives. Also, most standard plans include dedicated IPs while Budget plans do not.

The issue with the Captcha was an issue with Google. Their Captcha API was down for several hours yesterday.

I just started using these guys for hosting, and to be perfectly honest. I'm not impressed. I've had my server for less than a week and its been an almost constant struggle with network and server issues on their end. The only reason I haven't demanded my money back at this point is because when the server DOES work, it works beautifully. All in all, I give them a 5/10, only because their customer service reps are so nice.

Mineocity is an amazing host. I have never tried their shared hosting, but their dedicated boxes are setup within 30 minutes and compared to other companies thats unreal. Their support is amazing, they get your issues resolved as fast as they can. I rate their services at: 10/10, nothing can be done better. One of the biggest perks of owning our own hardware is dedicated boxes are ready to go in a moments notice, unlike other hosts who resell other companies servers and have to wait 24-72 hours for them to be set up.

Which code are you trying to use? It should ask you to enter the promo code on the checkout page.

Been with a lot of Server Hosts over 2 years including "quality" ones like creeperhost and this is the first host I've actually enjoyed using. The server are not laggy unlike the previously mentioned "quality" host. The support staff are very friendly and help you out no matter the question. The Control Panel is not a complete solutio since the Ram and CPU usage bars don't work but they do warn you about this. Going to be upgrading my server shortly, all in all I give them a 10/10 I am definetly sticking with these guys for the foreseeable future.

Review; Overall Mineocity hosting is the best choice I have ever made. Affordable, but excellent quality.

I love you server host Great service great everything!

So far, I have no problems with this host. A lot better than my previous two (Word of winsdom, stay clear of Phase or Rampage).
All in all, 8/10.
The only reason it is not 10/10 is the fact that the memory usage on the multicraft is way off.
Other than that, no lag, no connection problems, no crashing.
