Just a quick question... why does the title of this topic say free web hosting? the prices start around 6 bucks...
Although, if I ever need a server, I'll come back to this thread. *bookmarked*

You know what would also be epic? A brain! First you put it in your head, then you use it!
Most people spawn with one but I guess you didn't because of a bug.
I have a few questions as I'm thinking of purchasing either the McMyAdmin 3gb or 2gb plan:
1: Does the code "we-are-here-for-you" at the top of the page work for either of these plans? I've tried it but it doesn't seem to work. It sounded amazing because that's the exact reason I'm looking around right now .
2: I didn't see anything about FTP/SFTP access being given, and I often need to get into it. Is that something included as well?
3: Sometimes McMyAdmin likes to go down due to server crashes, and it's impossible to bring it back up without going into a control panel like SolusVM vpscp and reactivating it. Is that also given to us? And if not, is there a way to connect to something like Putty and reset the server without having to ask support?
Thanks.
Edit: I checked around on the support area and found that it was a yes to the FTP part and the control panel. I ordered and things are moving fast!

Let me start off by saying thank you for considering us. I'll do my best to answer your questions.
That coupon wont actually work for the VPS plans as they are already really discounted. I will offer you the code "we-are-here-for-you-vps" to take 5% off the VPS server plans.
FTP access is included on all plans and on our VPS (McMyAdmin) plans you have access to everything.
Yes, we provide access to the SolusVM panel as well as SSH for use with programs like PuTTY.
If you have any more questions, please, just let us know.
Looks like the OpenVZ VPS hosting is sold out. Will these be available again soon?
We hope to have some stock available soon but we do not have a timeline at this moment. We have small amount of space coming and going so if you make a sales ticket at https://client.mineocityhosting.com/submitticket.php?step=2&deptid=2 we can do our best to let you know when we have some space open up.
My review of Mineocity's FTB server service on a server intended to house 52 players. We currently have 1-2 playing at a time usually, sometimes up to 6 at a time, so we're using far below the capacity Mineocity has set.
Server setup is instant. FTP access, most of the time the server runs well, with no lag. The control panel has some issues - often it shows the server as offline even if it is online, for instance. The amount of CPU provided seems reasonable, though sometimes the CPU use meter is pegged or close to it, despite little going on. Have had problems with the server randomly being unavailable, forcing us to restart it.
We've had the service for exactly a week, and 2 such random cases of server unavailability have occurred, both were resolved with a restart of the server. However, tonight the server became unavailable and I have not been able to get it to come back up, and our normal ping times of 65 ms are now ~260ms. It's been about 10 hours so far, with no end in sight.
Responses from customer service are sporadic. Sometimes you get a reply within 45 minutes, sometimes it takes 12+ hours, even on a "high priority" ticket.
Hopefully we'll be able to get our server going again - having it down for a night just a week into it is either bad luck or a bad omen, not sure which yet.
I make no judgments about Mineocity as a host compared to other options, I am just reporting my personal experiences with them.
Edit: The above referenced problem took roughly 24 hours to resolve. Apparently there was a problem with a CPU on my "node".

I'm sorry to hear about your experience with our support team. I have talked with them and they did confirm that the lag was due to an individual server that managed to hog up most of the server node's CPU.

Thanks, Daniel. I do have a couple questions there - is it common for someone's server to be able to bog down everyone else on that node? Also, when these things do occur, does it normally require 24 hours to locate the problem source and address it?
I have been with MineoCityHosting for sometime now, they have what you need. The supporters get back to you in the time that is said. The server's are smooth most of the time altogether MineoCityHosting is the a really good hosting company in everywhere. I would highly recommend them

We host our products on owned hardware that we colocate so we can set our own prices. We hope that by providing a quality server at a low price we create a great customer experience.
Interested in a vps server do you guys have any trials and do the vps servers come with a dedicated ip?
Our VPS plans do in fact come with dedicated IPs. While we do not have trials on our VPS plans we do have a five day money back guarantee in case you have any issues.
Although, if I ever need a server, I'll come back to this thread. *bookmarked*
