I've used Bisect Hosting on and off for about two years. I've used countless other hosts, but nothing can be compared to Bisect Hosting.
A lot of people hesitate when beginning a server, and if you’re one of those people, I highly recommend Bisect Hosting. No matter how silly your question may seem, they answer it. If you need assistance, they have never let me down.
I think I can speak for every customer, that we are truly grateful for your phenomenal service that you provide to server owners, and the rest of the community.
Thank you very much! We're glad you're enjoying our service!
So I honestly thought this would be a good host... I even had the premium host! So.. I used it and my expectations were not met at all. The host was crashing, lagging, even someone in Texas was getting bad connection. I was very disappointed with this host :/ Unfortunately I will not be using Bisect again.
Thank you for taking your time to leave us a review. I was able to located your client account based on your Minecraft username "ubertrollgaming0" and it looks like you had a server with us earlier this year which was terminated in May. I am sorry you had issues with your server, and I can assure you it wasn't because of our hardware or service.
It looks like you have never opened up a single ticket with us to report any issues. If you're having issues we want to be able to help even if it's not something on our end, we have a lot of experience and can always make suggestions on how to fix many issues that are associated with Minecraft servers.
We've been running a server called VillageCraft since 2011, and since 2013 we've been using BisectHosting as our host. Before them, we shuffled around at a few hosts and the service was often really horrible. Bisect has been excellent, with really good prices and by far, BY FAR, the best staff we've encountered (and we have a couple of horror stories from 2 other hosts). We've stayed with them this long and have no reason to leave.
This is the best host we've encountered and I'm more than happy to leave this positive review of them here. I understand the hesitation when choosing hosts, so if anyone is looking for more information on our experience with Bisect, feel free to join the server and ask us at mc.villagecraft-server.com
My in-game name is Akomine, and I'd be happy to chat about hosting.
And yes, their support tickets are almost always answered in under 30 minutes. Getting an answer in 4 minutes or even less is also pretty common for us, which is awesome. I have nothing but good words to say about these guys
Guys, I can honestly say this is one of the BEST hosting company's out there! They offer 24/7 support and reply to you in less then 2 min! I had a few issues but they were quick to fix it
Bisect is a very good hosting service in my opinion. We bought the premium package so they could install custom modpacks for us and we have changed packs like 5 times this week trying to find one that works and they are usually installed within 25 minutes. So far my experience with them has been very good. I would defineatly recommend them.
Bisect is an amazing host, they are my second host and so far have far surpassed my previous hosts server. I have now purchased my second server from them and am looking to upgrade in about a month giving the uptime and speed remains the same. There is not much else to say that hasnt already been said except the negative reviews i have read in this thread dont seem to be due to the host itself.
On the one hand all of my contacts with their support have been friendly, on the other i find that i only get a reply on every 2nd or 3rd ticket i create and when you wait an hour in between sending them and have been waiting 3 hours for the "premium" service they are selling it is not worth it. I chose Bitsecthosting for their mod friendly system and found that installation was a breeze but small problems such as a billing issue wherein all they needed to do was send me a link took 3 days to resolve when their "average response time" is 30 minutes. I wonder if they keep it low by not responding to questions after that period has expired. What is more frustrating is that when purchasing the server i was able to connect to a person instantly over live chat which would be GREAT for solving technical problems that may require back and fourth questions.
As for the server itself, it runs well and does everything it should, the control panel for operating it is fairly straightforward its a decent service, its just not "premium" My vanilla server is still with clanforge and i am happy with them, i may migrate everything after my term is up with bitsecthosting

Hello!
This is completely false, we never take that long to respond to tickets. Maybe you were just missing the email notification? I can guarantee that if you check the actual ticket in your billing area and look at the time stamps of our replies, they would not be far apart like you say they were. Yes, on rare occasions you will wait an hour or two when we are slammed, but never a day, or 3 days like you said.
If you can stop by our site and ask to speak to Max in our live chat or email me at [email protected] I would love to chat with you to get this sorted out
I picked up a little server in November - I think a $13/mo plan, bumped up to 18 to get a closer server (happens to have DDOS protection, thus the extra cost) - and slapped on a lifetime-25%-off code I found on the MCFORUM. For $13.68/month I got a gig and a half of RAM, enough to run an FTB Lite 2 server with four people, even with end-game bases, MFR tree farms, etc. We have since switched to a heavier, custom pack for 1.7.10 and have had a little rubber-banding / block lag with three people on; I will have no problem kicking out another $5/mo (minus 25%) for the next plan up.
I've never run a server before, but it was pretty easy getting to know the Multicraft control panel. Server reboots in under a minute with 60+ mods, I can input commands from the console, run tasks on an automated schedule, define my own custom tasks... There's a dropdown menu where you can select from like 35 preloaded .jar files - vanilla 1.6.4, 1.7.10, or 1.8.3, a bunch of FTB, Tekkit, and Bukkit stuff, or several options for your own custom .jar - used that last weekend to run an 1.8.0 minigame event.
FTP access is super-easy, in a limited way through the site or using the free client they recommend, Filezilla; they even have a short series of video tutorials set up to walk you through using it. I was able to back up my modded 1.7.10 server, locally AND in a subfolder on the server, upload a 1.8 .jar and map, set that up, run the minigame for a few hours, then store that in its own subfolder for later, copy the 1.7.10 setup back to the main folder, and fire it right back up.
Have not tested the customer service yet, which, actually, probably means they're doing a great job. Have also heard of other places that are like a dollar a month cheaper - peanuts, for what I'm getting. Overall, 9.5/10.
Been using Bisect for around a month now, Had some issues getting my server working at first but that was a fault on my end not theirs and their support got back to me and helped me fix the problem within an hour or so. Haven't had any problems since, server runs lag free for me, some of my players complain but when they relog its all good so I assume its something on their end. All in all, this is a host I would recommend to anyone looking to host a Minecraft server of any kind.
This the absolute best service out there I went through 4 hosts before I found this Gem! They even helped me get started with little to no money. I had just gotten screwed by Ownage hosting and explained I run a clan server and they helped me get server that met my needs of 2 gigs for less then the asking start price!
Ok service, have a server running DW20 1.7.10 and lag is a common thing and normally 1-2 people on. But, for the price I paid guess I can't complain.
I took a quick look at your account (found it using your Minecraft name) and you only have a 1GB server for that modpack which is a bit low which is why you are getting a bit of lag. This is a heavier modpack and we generally recommend 1.5-2GB of RAM for it to start.
If you have any issues like this shoot as support ticket and we will always offer you advice.
I am thinking of using this as a private SMP host with temporary minigame plugins like UHC one day and Pixelmon the next So i was looking for modded servers. Can you tell me which package would suit me?
Sure thing!
We suggest at least 1.5GB of RAM (our package 3) for any modded server as a start, even if you will have just a few players on it. Then as you add things to it or you get more, and more players it can be upgraded.
Yeah, upgrarded to 3GB and still lagging quite often. (as in server unable to keep up so it skips ticks)
Great host if you're going to be running light mods/Vanilla. Beyond that, you'll have to get used to lag.
There should be no reason why it would lag unless something is going on with the modpack, our hardware is more than capable of handling it. Contact our support and we can see what we can do to help you resolve this
How much HHD space do we actually get? I'm currenlty looking for a new host because the one I'm with is fairly limited and we've been losing builds due to reaching capacity.
I know it says "Unlimited" but has a fair usage policy. I can't find anywhere that says what the fair usage policy actually is.
My server has a survival world of over 3gb and a creative world not far behind.
Thanks
It is unlimited, but you're right there is a fair usage policy which is in our TOS. Basically as long as your are not using hundreds of GBs to where it can cause issues on the server node, you will be ok.
We would never just cut you off and cause your world to not save. If for some reasons you were using so much that it was an issue we would definitely let you know first and give you some options.
Thank you very much! We're glad you're enjoying our service!

Until someone ports this legendary mod I am leaving the minecraft scene. http://www.cosc.canterbury.ac.nz/greg.ewing/minecraft/mods/ArchitectureCraft/#mozTocId598776 I have watched too many legendary mods die and carpenters blocks sudden fallout out of mainstream made me cry. I realize the source is messy but some of the best mods from 1.6.4 and 1.7.10 were.
Ok service, have a server running DW20 1.7.10 and lag is a common thing and normally 1-2 people on. But, for the price I paid guess I can't complain.
Best service I have had in ages. I would highly recommend. 5/5 stars

(I Apologise for any Spelling errors, As I am typing on My iPad!!!)
To Start off I would like to say I really Like what you are doing and it is an extremely generous offer!
So, I have had previous servers up and they have Gone down unfortunatly due to hosting issues!
Here is a Very short Pitch of what ai am Doing.
Server Name: Fusion-Gaming
Old Server Host's: VooDooServers, MySelf and my Personal Dedicated server.
Number of players I was Averaging: 5-15 (Growing Fast)
Server Themes/Game-Modes: So, I have 3 Different worlds on the server (Will probably expand onto multiple servers once I have grown the server)
-Factions: Raiding Ect.
-Creative: Plots
(Will add once we are getting a steady stream of people in)-Minigames: SkyBlock, Party Ect.
What I am going to need from the server Host:
RAM:1-2GB To start off with
Internet Speeds: 100mbps+
Location: Where Ever you have a free opening
Slots:100+ Unlimited Would Be Great
FTP: Full FTP
Website: None Needed
Hard Drive: SSD Would Be Great, HDD will do
Dedicated IP
Custom Jars: No Need for custom Jars, I use Spigot anyway
Time Untill I start getting funds: 3-5 Months (will Say why via skype)
Thats about all!
I thank you very Much for giving me this Chance!!
Cheers,
Jason
