I'm divided between going with you guys and nodecraft in your own words can you please explain to me why I should go with you instead of nodecraft?
Obviously they want you to spend your money here and not over there. I would say just do your "homework", to start off just compare the hardware via the two, here a benchmark of the CPUs for single thread performance http://www.cpubenchm...ngleThread.html since yep Minecraft is single threaded. Then with those two hardware specs throw in price in the viable, then "weighs" them out yourself to see like for example do I really need that 1270v3 CPU? Or could I just go with the other guy with the 1270v2 or even the 1240v2 and save money every month? Then compare the HDD or SSD spaces they give you, a HDD is said to be slower but others argues that a small server would do fine on them. However since servers are shared I always opted for the SSDs to make sure I'm not limited by the I/0. Then the network? make sure that is enough for your player base to be able to play without latency problems. That is a matters of their ISPs and locations so make sure you talks to the companies about that to see if their network is sufficient. Then go from there from the support you get, a few questions to ask yourself is How long does it take for my questions to be replied to? Were they good or were they a little sour with you? and did they replied good or just some replies that were probably just used to keep their "fast response" timing up? Also you may wanna ask the companies in question "how long is it take to reply to a support ticket usually?" or something like that. Also make sure you ask what kind of support they provide usually it's Managed or Unmanaged and if you have questions about support just ask them to see if they can help you with whatever you may need help with. Following this guideline will probably helps you find the right host for You. As always don't forget if you need to ask added questions Ask them, a good host will not make you feel "stupid" for asking them. Remember stupid questions are the ones that you don't brother to ask. If they are I would advise to leave and find someone else. Hope this help you.
