While I like the idea of coming up with a base-8 numbering system using new symbols, I think there is not enough difference between 3 and 4 in the above scheme and they could be easily confused.
Also, a base-8 system would not actually include the number 8 as a single digit, just as our base-10 system requires 2 digits for 10.
But that means you could leave out the symbol for 4 and the digit 8 and just move the other symbols one place to the left to end up with 8 symbols (0-7) instead of 9.
And back on-topic, I like the idea of the villagers nattering to each other in Minecraftian while the player is wandering around. Maybe saying things like "I need gravel and have too much flint" - "Maybe the visitor has some gravel" (visitor is the player).

Fixed!
Made some other edits, only side effects being that they are even more reminiscent of BIONICLE. As for the squares, I just don't consider squares to have much value to numerals or alphabets. I have actually started creating a language for use in the Nether on Google Docs. I have only a handful of words so far, but will start a new topic with a link to the document when I am done.
I wish this language had more vocab at this point. Nouns such as "tokko" are great and all, but I have noticed that words such as "I" "mine" "it" "them" "who" and so on are by far the most useful, and we should probably get commonplace words such as that done before we begin creating more specific ones.

Do you need a professional resource pack? Do you need it right now?
.....While that is a good idea, I have two objections. The first is that it defeats the whole point of the discussion. The second is that I don't like it. Obviously, the former is a better argument than the ladder, albiet still being poor itself, but I think I made my point.

I think this is really cool! I love linguistics. But why can't they just speak the same language as the player? To play the game you would then have to learn a totally new language (though simple) yet you would still have to learn it. If there is a truly practical reason for this then I give 100% support. But I don't see one right now. But it really is cool that you came up with this!
Nice work; I was inspired by you, and I'm creating an entire Testificate language for a map. However, it's more closely based on English, Russian, and Latin.
OMG. This is awesome. I'm going to try! Tokko kakam nan poko. The wolf fell in the ocean. New words: kak = fell (think SFX for fall damage.) nan = in. poko = ocean.
I think I found a practical use for this. You could use the enchanting table alphabet as your runes for Minecraftian. Then the Enchantments could actually say things in minecraftian instead of coded english nonsense words.
You could also have it so the Testificates speak Minecraftian but the script is in the chosen language of the player. This makes it so you can understand it, but it also makes interaction more interesting.
And if you really want to go overboard and learn the language you could just switch to it as your default language in-game.
I think someone should go through and make a post that puts together all the words and rules that were made by the poster. A lot of the language is spread out throughout the comments, and we need this to be put together so it can be easily seen. I wish that someone could finish the language, as right now it is still missing many words. If it was finished, someone could easily make a mod for it.
I totally agree, pepper. Perhaps you, me, and the creator of the language can work on creating the Minecraftian Dictionary.
This language gets support from me, all it needs is a little better explanation, I got the idea but I need more time to completely understand it. A big challenge is gonna be adding colours as they don't make a sound or do anything you could name them after. Hmm... Maybe colours could mean somethine else besides being colours. Black and void would stick together very well (just my opinion), some languages have that kind of stuff.
It is really hard for me to think of new words without basing on existing ones but I'll try my best to keep up my support!
I would like to make a suggestion: As a basis for vocabulary, try to create a full Minecraft language file in Minecraftian. This would be a very good set of vocabulary, and it would encompass all the important things in the game.

Though simply creating a language file as proof of concept is good enough.
Hmm, if the language is spoken by villagers, we are in urgent need of a word for emeralds, maybe there could be a word for gem and depending if you add blue or green it means diamond or emerald.

The numbering system should be based on squares, not circles.
Plus, would it use conventional punctuation, paragraphing etc.?
Maybe it used a primitive 'scribble' alphabet?

So I Support now.
Wseoos :Wither (Think the Woooosh sound they make)

And btw thanks @pepper for the link ^^
