I'm losing my mind and about to start throwing things. I have been googling longer than I've been playing the game tonight at this point. I have tried /fill with both specific destination coordinates and ~~~. I have used every possible name. Quartz_block (which just gives me regular quartz blocks), the block id number, smooth_quartz_block, etc. Then I found someone else on this sub with the same problem, and apparently quartz_block ["chisel_type":"smooth"] worked just fine for them. My game WILL NOT accept it. I have double and triple checked everything. I've replaced the colon with a semicolon, added spaces, deleted the colon, deleted the quotes, deleted the underscores, then the brackets, changed out the "smooth" for other terms just to check. It just keeps specifying everything after "chisel_type" as the problem. I've deleted it and retyped the original command and what seems like every possible variation multiple times. I'm on version 1.20.15 on the Xbox One. What am I doing wrong? Has anyone else gotten this to work for them, and how?
It's smooth_quartz with no data at all in java edition, which is where you posted your issue. If you are using Bedrock Edition you need to use chisel_type set to 3.
