Revamped Spawn
Over the past month, it's been made very clear that various NPCs/features are not the easiest to find and often get ignored as a result.
In order to combat this issue, a revamp was to take place! A brief sneak peek can be seen below. We've added buildings off the main path of spawn that'll house the current NPC's you've grown used too, and a few new members to the family.
Also, there is now an uninterrupted path to the wild portal to hopefully void the questions about how to start/where to start.
Weekly Challenges
Community based challenges? Let's do it! Weekly challenges are community focused meaning any and all progress from anyone counts towards the completion of the challenge for the current week. The top 3 contributors of the week will receive the top rewards, but don't worry there's participation rewards once you reach a certain threshold!
You'll be able to view this system via /weekly ingame, or.. one of the new NPC's at spawn after the maintenance window.
Addition: Jobs
Another frequent question was how to make money whilst plenty options exist, they might not be the most intuitive for some players as there isn't a clear goal or reward for learning the system to make money. A clear indicator for adding Jobs this quickly was due to the impact of the most recent poll.
In comes Jobs, as I'm sure most are familiar jobs is a system that offers various Job "types" and has various tasks within them in exchange for money/exp.
Addition: Gear Unlocks
A new member of the spawn family is the Gear Merchant. The goal of this NPC is to offer various gear in exchange for money, and unique items.
The initial offerings will be considered tier 1 gear, which is essentially branded netherite equipment/armor with maxed enchants.
Subsequent gear in the near future will offer unique passives, and will require unique items to obtain. (These will be added over time)
Crates are also included in this addition, as there will be specialty pieces unique to each crate in the near future!
Addition: Elevators
Whilst there's good vanilla elevators with bubble columns.. Ever wanted to teleport instantly between as many floors as you want?
Welcome elevators! Place a redstone block directly below a quartz block to create a floor/landing, and copy the same design for each floor you want an elevator.
To use the elevators, whilst standing on the quartz block you can shift to descend or jump to ascend between floors. (A bossbar will indicate which floor you're on once you stand on an elevator)
NOTE: Keep elevators in the same Y-axis otherwise they won't be connected.
QoL Changes
Quests Interface - Cleaned up the quests interface to be slightly more user friendly.
Warps Interface - Previously stated elsewhere, but the main warps interface has had an overhaul. Whilst also, offering the option to feature your warps on the main page!
Announcements - Rotating announcements are more catered to ingame features, and external things such as our store, discord, and the like.
Redstone Limit - Not too much to say here other than... See ya later redstone limits!!!!
