Currently me and my friend are looking for a mushroom biome. We've been searching for about a hour and still no luck. Any tips?
I would try going out into an ocean biome, they spawn far away from land. I had to go a long ways from my own island home to find it, but it was worth it to find all those mooshrooms there. Make sure to bring a whole lot of wood because you can't plant trees on mycelium.

Got my first Gold, Diamonds, Lapis, and Redstone, made a Nether Portal without a Diamond Pick. Individually placed lava and water to form the frame.

Let’s play good guys against bad guys… Yes. Let’s play that. Are you ready? You’re the bad guy. And when you’re bad, you just run. That’s fine right? Well… Shall we play?
Went on a mining trip to get some lapis but didn't have much luck, I kept finding cave spider spawners everywhere. I think I'm up to about 20+ spawners destroyed on my current map.

You can plant trees on dirt though. To successful grow a tree in a mushroom biome you just have to surround an area with a border material in which myclelium won't spread on and then dig up of the mycellium inside it and replace it with dirt. Viola tree farm in a mushroom biome.

When no one was looking, the Endermen took forty blocks.
They took 40 blocks. That’s as many as four tens. And that’s horrible.
I built a mine shaft and found 22 diamonds in the process, created mining base underground so I don't have to go back up to my house to store or smelt items, found pumpkins and began working on a pumpkin farm, found 3 different slime chunks and have obtained 2 and a half stacks of slimeballs, went exploring and watched as 1.2.1 world gen became 1.2.4 world gen(pine and birch trees generating), killed some ghasts and mined lots of useless netherrack which is cluttering up my chests. That's pretty much what I've done recently :/
on smp im in progress on making a tower, where every floor is a different block, im trying to get every block
On Ssp im using better than wolves and built myself a windmill
I heard about the mysterious "sandstone wells" and i created a new world to find and search one
I found one of those in a desert biome in my World1, which was in new territory generated since the 1.2.3 update.
I also saw an ocelot in a jungle biome and a mushroom island which I had been to before. I went back there with a Silk Touch enchanted pickaxe to get some mycelium.
Working on clearing out part of a jungle near my base now. So far clear out an area of about 80 by 30. Also broke 4 flint and steel a diamond pickaxe with efficiency 4 and used up 2/3 of a diamond axe. Only about halfway done so far.
I have done a lot of cave exploring, branch mining, spelunking, etc. today and came across a Golden Apple dungeon on Applegrove Island. Probably my 4th golden apple seed found, but only the 2nd I written down. Here is the coordinates and seed number if you want to check for yourself:

It is a zombie dungeon. The chest is a large chest that contains the apple, some saddles, and some cocoa beans as well as some other items (redstone, gunpowder, string...). There is also a spider dungeon not too far from it, it is easy to find though, just look for the lava spring next to the zombie dungeon and follow it. It is close enough for spiders to spawn while you are in the zombie dungeon.
I also mined 20+ diamond ores with my silk touch pickaxe and can't wait to use my fortune III on them when I return to the surface. I also got nearly 4 stacks of coal ore, nearly 2 stacks of iron ore, 6 gold ore, 8 lapis ore, and a full stack of redstone ore.
EDIT: Just explored the spider dungeon and got some more cocoa beans. There is a water flow next to the spider dungeon and found another 6-piece vein of diamonds and some gold.
I finally found a spider spawner close enough to my base to make a string farm. Also I'm getting a bunch of saddles from all of these spawners I'm finding.
Just finished the first stage of my Survival Megabuild today.
I've been working on and off on it for about three weeks. At the moment it contains over 30,000 blocks.
It's just a really large wall so far, but I'm planning on adding towers, flags, and fortresses along it's length soon. All in all, I'm pretty proud of it.
A high up view of the Western end.
Here's a picture from ground level, just to put things in perspective.
And lastly, here's a picture of my map. You see that long grey line at the top? That's the wall. (Note: not the brown line, I mean that light grey line that goes across the map)
Of course the whole thing is totally hollow. I don't even want to know how many blocks it would take to fill that thing.
I started a new world about a week ago, my old world was getting very laggy (chicken farm lol) and the lake my house was on froze over due to biome changes, so i couldn't use my boat or docks anymore.
So in my new world I have a cave base (taking much inspiration from etho's current base) and I have just finished an xp machine for a skeleton spawner.
I hear it's easiest to find them in ocean biomes.
All I've done recently is try out my fortune 3 pick and enchant a diamond sword. (Got sharpness 4 knock back 2 and looting 3.)
