OP, very nice looking house.
And Mazecraft, I now envy your redstone skills.
As for me, I haven't done anything of significance recently, besides the mayor of the town I live in in SMP accidentally selling my house to someone. I bet all my diamonds have been stolen.

Did something happen to you in your childhood to give you this unreasonable fear of rutabaga?
Beat Ender Dragon on Hardcore for the first time Finished Enderfarm and now have all diamond item 50+ enchantment except axe and shovel. Epicness. Going to make railway to end portal. About 200 meters away from home
I started a new world in 1.0. Recently I moved all my buildings to a fresh generated world. Wanted a jungle biom to be closer to my place (before I had to go over 1000 blocks to get to a jungle).
The station has been rebuild 2 or 3 times before. Now I am satisfied with the design and functionality.
Currently I work on a cave spider xp farm. Want to use 2 spawners. I have changed the design twice already and the spiders keep climbing walls instead going with water. But the next design will work, I am preety sure This will be a fancy looking xp farm made with planks in 3 colors.
Making spawners with cave spiders is such a pain so i just break the spawners. I managed to get lucky and find two zombies spawners close together so i used them to make an exp farm. Mines not very fancy and I don't have much space to move around in it.
Finished my castle walls and turrets. In the courtyard built my wheat and Sugarcane farms. Breeding cattle and pigs. while in the day building the castle main on top of the main clifftop mountain facing the courtyard.
After a time I collected lots of resources. And I use them to make my world look better and better. Keeping them in chests is pointless. I have inspiration from Etho's videos and I give more attention to details now.
I just end up mining a lot and end up with stuff i dont have a use for yet. I also have trouble deciding how I want to build something so I don't build to many buildings.
My desert loacation with a skeleton xp farm. Still in development. I am not satisfied with its look yet. Perhaps I will use a lot of lapis blocks there. The third pic: on the left side there is a lever with an indicator lamp. The lamp is on - the spawner (behind the wall) is off.
2nd pic: the new stones were made with a block transmuter. It can be considered as cheating, but i think adding a new block only to creative mode is unfair.
I don't think it's cheating to get the decorative blocks. How do you kill the mobs punching them or using a splash potion and how much exp does it get you?
A lever extends a piston (not visible) to stop new mobs from going into the cage. Then I push a button and another piston (also not visible) suffocate mobs. After that they are one-hit-kill. But I often use splash healing potions to kill them all at once and get xp. The regular piston visible on the picture is connected to a pressure plate on the floor. It pushes the drops towards me.
Then I retract the first piston and new mobs can go into the cage.
Sounds like it took a lot of work to set it up.My mob trap uses gravity but it lowers them down to about two hearts left so I just use splash potions to finish them off. I don't bother with hitting them because they spawn almost as fast as i can kill them with a sword.
Well I was building a house next to a ravine until my pack of dogs pushed me into it while I was building a fence. It was a long way down and the world was on Hardcore.
Took a village near the center of my world, cleaned up the area, filled in cave holes, and laid out a new village of cheap housing that has nice three block wide streets. Got two iron golems patrolling those streets now, one spawned and the other I built.
Whole place is fenced off so half the time zombie hordes are stuck outside the fence. One time though a zombie horde half spawned in my own house in the village. It was quite amusing.
I just built a two-door gatehouse for the protective wall around the village. The doors are operated from two possible locations each, using redstone XOR gates.
View from outside the gate house.
View looking in the front door. The first set of doors are open, while the second set are closed.

Looking out across the roof.
Looking from the rook over the front of the gatehouse
Looking back at the village from the roof of the gatehouse.
Not everything is done yet, but it is well underway.
Started a new survival world when 1.2 came out. I haven't really been able to focus on one thing.
I started building a nice fancy "house". With a large basement level. This is the skeleton of the structure, the main level is the white platform in the middle.
Then I realized I was low on food and I needed more wool for my construction project, so I decided to build a "barn." But I wanted it to be as nice as my "house", so the scale is large. The roof as you see it will eventually be covered in grass and farmland with a glass ceiling over top.
Also, the new light coloured wood from birch trees is awesome.
Both projects will probably not be finished for a while ... and now I need to go lumberjacking, mining and sand quarrying before I continue building.
For me I finished building my house and started working on making a farm.
Edit: Please put your pictures in spoilers.

We're all friends here... Except for the walrus in the corner, he spits at passerby.
Nice, how hard was it for you to beat the dragon?

Do you have any pics so we can see it?

Sounds good, can't wait to see them.

Also I can't post any more today.

They took 40 blocks. That’s as many as four tens. And that’s horrible.
Then I did some crafting.
Then I mined again.
Did you do any mincing or rafting?
The carpet in your hallway looks very Swedish.
