So I was thinking about names for all my cool armor and stuff, so I wanted to make a forum for anyone to post names for helmets, chestplates, leggings, boots, swords, bows, and axes, if you happen to use them for fighting.
Here are my ideas:
Helmet:Hat of Falling Stones
Chestplate: Chestplate of the Turtle's Shell
Leggings: Leggings of the Never Tired
Boots: Shoes of Swift Wings
Bow: Forte Colpo (Meaning "Sharpshot") or Hotshot if you have a flame bow
Sword: De Houweren(Meaning "The Hacks")
Axe: Señor Árbore (Meaning "Tree Lord")
My sword is named "Just a flesh wound" deliverer. Hopefully someone gets the reference. Have yet to name my armor. My bow is not a name I wish to post here
If a sky darkroom grinder is not available, I usually have a looting/sharpness sword called Taxman. Anything else, I usually call it Blue Dildo.
If I get a really epic bow, I often call it Doom Bow, in reference to the treasured item in Realm of the Mad God.
I rarely give my armor interesting names.
I like to name my silk touch picks Rubber Finger.
I figured that Dave was a nice name for a sword. Dave's a friend who's got your back, through thick and thin. Sticks by your side, no matter what.
As a bonus, if a zombie horde surrounds my house, demanding that I surrender my prized weapon, I just sit behind the door and say, "Dave's not here, man!". Bonus points for getting that old reference.
I thought this at first as well. Until I learned about how renaming items caps the multiple-repair surcharge, keeping subsequent repairs cheaper. For enchanted items that are definite keepers, the rename cost more than pays for itself several times over in the longer run.
Sword names: Ulfberht, World Breaker, Læveteinn, Dawnbreaker, Gan Jiang/Mo Ye. Harpe, Taming Sari, Dragonbane, The Bloodletter, The Silver Blade of Laer, and Fireblade
In one world, I've named by enchanted diamond sword "Draughtbane" And my bow "The Unbreaking". The Unbreaking's name comes from the fact it's a fished-up bow with Infinity, Power III, and Unbreaking III. Draughtbane's is just out of the blue.
As for another world, I've got "Call of Battle", an Iron Ax I put every Sword Enchant on, and "Overkill" the bow. Since this is my creative world, I quite literally put every single enchantment possible on it. "It can mine, it can shoot, it can even win in face-face combat! Heck, it can even protect ya' from everything around if you decide to slam it on your head! It's Overkill the bow!"
