Why the Java-Less MCR Stand alone launcher is waiting for Java 9:
The entire launcher is written in Java, it was chosen because of the easy interchangeability between all the most popular operating systems and compatibility. Java 9 will be the newest, and is much faster. But what does this have to do with a java-LESS version of the launcher?
Any java-less program written in java isn't java-less at all, what it really does is have its own Java Runtime Environment downloaded, or included beside the jar. While this is good if only one program is used, if you have a few java programs "without java", you also have multiple JRE's and that's pretty wasteful. Therefore, the Java-Less version will probably be only useful to you if you ONLY intend to use this java program.
Since that is highly unlikely, just install java and save space...

I always hoped somebody would do the same thing with Minecraft Indev, which had some brilliant features like the Floating world type and the survival mode working properly with the basic monsters. Sadly I havent ever found anybody willing to code a fix and a mod for INDEV...

Although I would GLADLY do that, I have no way of actually doing so. There are no deobfuscators avalible for that version. BUT, I do know a person that has old versions of minecraft (not included in the launcher) avalible. He has two Indev version that saves (I wish i knew how), and one with functioning sounds, and many more other versions: Link Removed
I do plan on adding an inventory, i also plan on adding tools. My idea is to make this be like if mojang focused on the way classic was and work on that. I also may add infinite worlds, but i first MUST re-write the entire server software.
Any news on finding an Indev deobfuscator? Would be great to play the amazing Indev with mods...!
There is sadly no real news for an Indev deobfuscator. Keep in mind, the deobfuscator I'm using was made in 2009, and ceased development in 2010, so it is riddled with bugs.
What i might do is attempt using that deobfuscator on the Indev .jar, it may work, although 50% of the classes would be UNKNOWN001.java
This is a mod made to make classic work like... well, old, But you get the point
It lets you save levels, it extracts classic sound resources, you have the option to join SERVERS IN-GAME
More blocks, more functionality, and now its even bigger!

OH CHANGE THE NAME OF "c0.30_05c" TO "0.30_05c"
And dont forget to tick "Show old alpha versions" in the launcher
oh thats what i did wrong also love this its a lot more fun than the original one.
I've been working on it for a while, I plan to make a seperate mod just to fix some broken parts of classic (Saving, Sound, Etc.) and not add things.
This is more of a fun project that i play around with.
wow thats cool i already downloaded it but its missing something the INVENTORY for survival mode just like indev
please added it
can you make the world size infinite like infdev!?
this is my house
can you please add the inventory system to survival please
I do plan on adding an inventory, i also plan on adding tools. My idea is to make this be like if mojang focused on the way classic was and work on that. I also may add infinite worlds, but i first MUST re-write the entire server software.
Love your house BTW
can you add a furnace to mcr 0.30_06?
i have to figure out how i could do that without copying mojang code, so ill try
but that will be part of 0.30_07c
is it possible to join servers that are not hosted on the mcr software? it just crashes if i try to

You should be able to, if the server is not using CPE (Classic Protocol Extension(i think)). MCR doesn't support CPE just yet.
