Alleron City
In 2011 on a hillside in the middle of some random Minecraft world, a lone miner was inspired to build. That inspiration lead to a solo private build that would become one the the best known Minecraft cities to date.

Being viewed over 100k times, having over 100k downloads and being reviewed all over the globe Alleron City has become one of the biggest solo built cities in Minecraft history. Now Alleron has come to the Minecraft Forums. Alleron City is a city built in the modern world, much like Dubai is. With no former infrastructure in the way, Alleron has endless room for expansion.

The biggest projects Alleron is known for are:

Yeah I still remember 9/11 perfectly I remember where I was and what I was doing and watching the news all day, it moved me haha and im not even an American, im Canadian.

Chinook Tower

Named after an environmental anomaly in Canada, Chinook (pro - Shin-nook) Tower is Alleron's newest icon. A Chinook is a strong wind that tends to occur in the fall/winter months. The winds from the Rocky Mountain Range are warmed as moisture in the air is lost over the mountains as snow. The mountains cause the warming air to basically fall off the mountain range and sweep across the prairies of Alberta. In cities such as Calgary, Alberta a Chinook can make a -22 Celsius day a +5 Celsius with warm winds traveling from 80-100+ Kmh. A strong Chinook Wind can melt a foot of snow in a day.

Chinook Tower is the first Net-Zero skyscraper in Alleron City. Net-Zero means that the total amount of energy used by the building on an annual basis is equal to the amount of renewable energy created on the site. Chinook Tower stands at 250 blocks high and is used mainly as office space. The top 10 floors are empty as planning for those floors is underway. The main feature of Chinook is the 6 wind turbines measuring 15m in length, suspended in the middle of the structure. The Chinook's design is used to optimize air flow through the center of the structure allowing more air flow to the turbines. The towers main structure is two triangular columns that provide support and stability for the center turbines. At the top of Chinook the two triangle columns make a 90 degree turn inwards and join at the top. The flow of the design gives the impression that it is all one massive super structure. Since all the power generated by the building is wind energy, Chinook was a fitting name for Alleron City's first Net-Zero Skyscraper. Visit the Chinook on your next visit to Alleron City.

It has been two months since the last major update. This update like any update is massive!

Over the past two months I have been hard at work building Palm Jumeirah. A long time ago in a time when Alleron City was Galaxy S I built Palm Jumeirah to a 1:20 scale I still have the original project here on PMC. Then we upgraded to Alleron City and the island was enlarged to a 1:10 scale...but never completed. Then Alleron City upgraded to Alleron Next and the island was increased to a 1:5 scale but again never completed.
However in January I decided to go big or go home and now Palm Jumeirah is an astounding 1:3 scale! Which means the island measures 2000 x 2000 blocks! This also means I am able to make every single building a functioning size.
So now that the whole Island is 70% complete I want to share it. The Fronds are 100% complete, the Trunk is 98% complete and the Break water/ Crescent is 1%...the only thing on the crescent is the Atlantis hotel, but it is undergoing renovation and expansion haha

Note: On the Fronds I only have 1 row of homes instead of 2 like the real island. I went with only 1 row because I wanted to replicate the actual homes as close to a 1:1 as I could
