Version 008 for a1.2.6 is up! There's not a lot in this version since I've been occupied with other stuff, but I wanted to push these changes out before I started messing with anything else in the mod and delay it even longer. But you get a brightness control now in particular when you hit F8, and smooth lighting is fixed to avoid those weird edges all over the place. Endermen only spawn in pairs now as well, which should reduce the number of End stone blocks they leave.
Really nice work, man! You know what always bugged me about the alpha versions? The missing GUI scale, It's really messing with me to play with a GUI so big by default.
Other than that, the game crashed for me when I put '/give' without any arguments in chat. Don't know if you are interested in fixing that
Thanks! And I never really even thought about the GUI scale, I honestly don't tend to change it myself. I can look into how it might be implemented. As for the crash, that definitely needs to be fixed. I saw your post days ago but I completely forgot about fixing it before doing this release. Oh well, it'll be in the next. Thanks for pointing it out.
How do I set up a mcp workspace for versions this old? I tried and it just gave me python errors, plus with alpha mcp it wants a Minecraft.jar, which I'm fairly sure is not included in Minecraft anymore.
I have one question, Do you have "glowstone" properly named "Lightstone" in this mod as it was back in Alpha?
I actually joined the game during Alpha and had a few mods back then, one such mod was a better dungeon mod that added in random dungeons akin to the stronghold and mineshaft, many of which had surface entrances.

Wanted this to work SO BAD, but sadly nothing happens w/ MultiMC.
After following the directions and including the >jar into the jar mods folder, nothing happens....
I even injected it straight into the instance jar, still no luck, game loads as if nothing happened.......
I'm using java 1.8.0_92 , and the only thing I can think of is an update since 2015 (w/ MultiMC or Java) must have caused the bug....

Either that or your flat out installing it wrong. I mean, it worked perfectly for me. On Java 9.

Uh, well...I have an idea but it's not very easy, if you download LWJGL (from here) and get the Minecraft alpha 1.2.6 file here. (hello mods, that link is directly to Mojang's official server the launcher gets the jar files from.) After that make a bin folder in .minecraft, open up the folder, copy the 1.2.6.jar file, rename it to minecraft.jar, and in the LWJGL zip file copy lwjgl.jar, lwjgl_util.jar, jinput.jar (it's located in the folder called jar) into .minecraft\bin. Once you do that, go up a level in the archive and go into the folder titled native and open the windows folder and copy everything to a folder called "natives" in .minecraft\bin. After all that just copy this code in the command line after injecting the mod straight into the minecraft.jar file.

How to install this mod:(This is not anything like Forge Mod Loader) Make sure to keep a backup. You need to open up the jar file and put the class files in it. And before you continue: Make a new folder in versions, can be named anything. lets call it ModBeta7 for now. All of the files in the folder needs to be named the same as the folder, and 1 thing needs to be changed in the json file: The ID line, after the semicolon, you need to put the name of the folder in the quotes. Now you should be able to load the mod. If it doesn't work, or folders are missing, use the OFFICIAL MOJANG launcher.
Hey! I'm on a mac and I've done everything in the installation process. When I select the loaded jar/zip file, it loads up regular vanilla. I'm new to this so I am most likely doing something wrong. Any feedback?
Would it be possible to include the skin fix in the Alpha 1.2.6 version so skins will load? The url in the file just needs changing, then the legacy skins will load ingame. The file that needs chaning is bq.class which coresponds to EntityPlayerSP.java in MCP, and the url needs changing from "http://www.minecraft.net/skin/" to "http://s3.amazonaws.com/MinecraftSkins/"
Hey I know this is a really old post, but I'm desperate. I really want to mod Alpha 1.1.2_01, and have downloaded Minecraft Coder Pack for that version, but I can't find the server.jar, the bin, and the old resources folder needed to decompile it. If you see this, can you help me out?

I've really enjoy your mod but, one thing stay in my mind : How do you have installed MCP for beta 1.7.3 ?
I've try many times but nothing happened except python errors
Can you send us a downloaded version of the files for MCP beta 1.7.3 ?
Or how do you do that ?
Thanks in advance, it will be helpful for many of us
PS: English is not my native language so don't take care for it ^^
Noticed this hasn't been active for a while. Is this still being updated or is it pretty much dead?

Is the 1.7.3 version the same as alpha 1.2.6 version?
So I followed the steps to install and the launcher is hanging on "Updating Minecraft"

Is there any way you could make a tutorial on how make a mod like a really small one
Will the 1.7.3 one be updated to version 008?
