I know it's been brought up before, but I would really like to see Ruby and emerald armor, tools, and weapons. If you have the fortune III on your pickaxe diamonds aren't hard to come by. Would just like to see more variety that way.

Lightning rods.
during storms, any lightning strikes that would have hit within a 50 block radius (or more, not sure how ballenced that is) instead hit the lightning rod. the used for the rod would be primarily to prevent your structures (or other flammable objects) from being targets. The lightnig would effectivly be transfered to the block below the rod (or rods if stacked) a secondary use could be to target flammable objects intentionally(possibly mobs).
if you wanted to get super nuts with it, you could have them act like tesla could and shoot their charge out to whatever gets within 3 blocks of them, use them as a switch if some sort for redstone... Idk, there's other things you could get creative with, but for starters, lets have them just be lightning rods.
3. The ability to create your own mash-up packs in creative mode. (the ability to pick and choose one favorite of each matierial and create your own texture pack which you can name)
4. Create a custom skin from scratch
5. New biome(s)
6. Adjustable day cycle (The sun sets way too soon to get anything done above ground!)
7. More fence, window and door options
8. Ability to craft working furniture.
9. Ability to choose what painting you want instead of playing the "what painting will I get?" game.
10. The ability to walk with a tourch in your hand and have it light up the environment around you. (Why do tourches only work after you place them?!)
I'm sure there are more I can come up with, but I must say that I am already satisfied with the game as is. I just believe some of the things posted above and before would make great update material.

You can enchant horse armour like normal armour but it only protects your horse from attacks when being worn and it doesn't protect you if you are riding the horse
What would rope do? How would it differ from string or a lead.
you could hang it from the ceiling and attach blocks to it allowing blocks to move. It could be used to rope off an area like a fence, maybe hang various other things. It could be used as decoration. Maybe you could string it across a large ravine and make a rope bridge. Maybe it could serve a purpose in some redstone builds? I'm sure people would find a way to use it. Rope is handy Also might as well add Chains too. Craftable from iron.
Update some of the older texture packs to have the transparent painting background like the Steampunk TP has. The Fantasy and City TP's would benefit greatly.

Ability to craft sugercane into a "bamboo wall" an impassable verson of sugercane, that you can not stack, but will naturally grow to four blocks high.
cutting it down will only give you a sugercane
crafting requires 8 blocks of sugercane surrounding a piece of string.
I am a big fan of xbox and minecraft and when I herd that fallout4 was getting mod from pc to Xbox one I thought why can't Xbox one minecraft edition have pc mod transfer over giving the game more fun to have fun. so please let us have the capability to play pc mods on Xbox one
Some reduction of mobs naturally spawning in the nether or a large increase in the cap. As it stands, blaze spawners are useless and spawn virtually no blazes except for a small outburst of them after which there are few to none. There are also way too many ghasts spawning in a small vicinity to be able to build anything. Some change to this would be amazing.
I'd love to see LARGER biomes. The larger worlds are a welcome change from the 360 version, but so far, every map is very patchwork. Fifteen different snow biomes, a dozen small deserts... I'd love the option to scale the biomes with the map scale, so we get large rolling plains and huge deserts.
Perhaps the ability to select more than one biome for a flatland?
Also, I don't know if this is even a possibility in the PC version, but I'd give my left nut for the ability to copy written books. Multiple copies of a guide book would be a great way to bring new players into a server.
If you have an idea or suggestion that's small and doesn't require a whole thread, please post here.
A small suggestion is defined as an idea that tweaks or changes an existing Minecraft: XBox One Edition feature in some way.
Examples of a small suggestion:
this is would be either a set of stairs that goes up two blocks while only going forward one block....
or if set on its side, it would be a block that goes up one block while moving forward two (almost like a ramp)
a few uses
- ramps, for whatever type building you prefer.
- Classic castles used steep stairs, this way attackers running up them would be likely to slip. This would be more accurate.
- allow for more compact stair cases. This would also be more accurate to classical castles.
- due to its dimensions, movin down these stairs would be like running off a cliff. This could be used as a type of trap or hazard.
Im not sure if there is anything else I should add to this, but I would be happy to add more detail, if I knew what detail to add.
A mob that drops nether quartz i build in the nether so resetting is not an option. There is barely any quartz left in my world.
