My friend and I were exploring the cave near Bloodshine, and we had found the "extreme" quest, when we read the signs we had figured we should back out, but... there was no way to climb out without and enderpearl because of the way the cave had formed, it needs a random block somewhere to help climb out.
I had that problem too and forgot to mention it in the video.
I'm pretty sure the map creator saw this, but for those who haven't, here is the video I was talking about a few posts ago.
This map is amazing! I've only been playing for a few hours so far, exploring and doing sidequests, but the world is beautiful! I like the marker system, you can always tell which houses have quests. And I LOVE GoldHaven. It's so epic and unique! The only thing I don't like so far is that sometimes the quests seem a little unclear, but that may just be me being an idiot. Overall, great job!
Thanks!
And depending on the map, It may or may not have been meant to be clear on what to do.
This is the first adventure map that I have played of this caliber. It is simply wonderful, it has a few jump "puzzles" which I always felt are essential and fun, you have a lot of little hidden treasures and side quests, and I haven't even completed it yet, gonna say two things that could use a bit of improvement are... well they're possibly spoilers so I'll spoiler-tag em' Problem 1
The first of my little annoyances was the quest in Corevale with the silver fish, I had thought it was too hard at first, but it had actually taken me farther into the story than I intended because of the way the silverfish were spawning and my frantic sword swinging. I had apparently accidentally broken some of the redstone for the "key-door".
Problem 2
My friend and I were exploring the cave near Bloodshine, and we had found the "extreme" quest, when we read the signs we had figured we should back out, but... there was no way to climb out without and enderpearl because of the way the cave had formed, it needs a random block somewhere to help climb out.
But all in all, this map is amazing and I can't wait to see the new map you guys are working on, good luck and just nice job, seriously nice job
Edit: I absolutely love how goldhaven looks, but is there supposed to be some kind of reward for beating the ender training course, the signs said something about a book?
1.I have had that problem before. But more times out of not, That doesn't usually happen. xD
2.Hmm. I thought I fixed that..
Youtube partner here! Uploading episode 1 of my playthrough of this map. Really enjoying it so far! I'll post it here when it's up. HEre's my channel in the meantime http://www.youtube.com/mrdavidification

Nice! If you need anything, Let me know. Just remember to read the entire map post. It's got maps!
so by this you mean that if the yogscast was to make a serie of this you wouldent place it here?
Depends on how they play. But I haven't fully watched any of there videos. So, from you saying this, I'm guessing they cheat a lot? And you can, Essentially. I just don't like it.
Oh my god, I love this map to death. Your building is superb, and the quests are just awesome, almost if not as good as Creeper Quest/Flatham. Towns like Skywarn are just too amazing, keep up the good work!
Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack
oh god how did this get here i am not good with signature
Looks like a great map, one of the better maps I have seen. I like how this map is pure adventure, not like those noob maps where it's all puzzle and parkour. You made the right choice leaving the world a "sandbox" world, which means you can roam wherever you want inside it. I wish all maps were like yours! I have only a few suggestions:
1. Try not to use WorldPainter for everything. If you must, I recommend you use the smooth tool to smooth out tue mountains.
2. Don't make houses just a wooden box. I know this map is meant to be medieval, and back then people had a pretty strong sense of architecture. Try to put some design into your houses. I reccomend madnes64's videos. He helped me a lot on houses. If you do use his style, try to give credit.
Overall, a great map by the looks of it. [Awesome trailer, too!]

1. Yes, I know my world painter skills aren't very good. xD
I'm going to try to stick with worldedit and voxel sniper for most of it. We'll see though. (Also, World painter was only used for 2 things. To my knowledge, At least.)
2. That is one of the biggest things I'm trying to stay away from on my next map.
Someone has copied my trailer. The recored it and reuploaded it to youtube.
I responded with a nice , "Can you take this down? It's not yours." The comment was removed a good 5 minutes later.
While awaiting my pending youtube Content Id Application, Please make sure this guy feels guilty about this. I know that probably makes me sound like a mean person, But I own all content in the video (With the exception of audio, And of course, Minecraft itself.) and this video took me and many others a nearly 3 months to complete.
Also, On top of that, He didn't even give me credit for the video. It took me HOURS to make. I simply wont have someone steal my video like that.
So I ask you, Please negatively effect this video and his profile. ()

Woah he did copy it he even filmed the video with the bar still on lol
I will negatively trash his account for you
Thanks, And although I do feel like a mean person asking others to do this, He kind of deserves it.
Again thanks.
Also, If you're a good builder yourself, You could possibly help us on our new project. We are looking for builders, But are try to keep it on the "Down Low" (Although I'm much to excited to keep that down.) But we could possibly use you and others. This next map will require a lot more builders than we previously had. xD
this is the best adventure map i have ever played. when is the sequel coming out. i played on normal and i only died twice. once on the final key and once in the dungeon with the trip wire. i just got totally ambushed. i just walked in the room "look a chest" and just died. i love how you can buy houses and buy items with out that it would have not been as fun and enjoyable. also love the mine track. the mine track made it a lot easier to get to different towns
thank you so much for this map keep making new ones please

You are welcome. And we WILL continue to make maps. But remember, With quality it takes time. Don't expect another map for at least 2 months. Maybe less because We can use WorldEdit now. (We couldn't use Bukkit with the snapshots.)
First off, gotta say I've been looking for a map quite like this in a long while. Like previous posters, this unique Adventure map has it's fill of nice questing and reward system that is cool and fulfilling unlike most maps. Definitely looking forward to your "New" map or a "Squeal" or even perhaps a "Expansion" whatever the case may be lol.
But before I go, I got a interesting question: (Note: probably first of many after tasting this delicious map)
your first home... why the wool colors on the floor? Looking for a Fung Shui thing or does it signify something "else"? (Yes, I deep dive into many things for a purpose and leave no stone unturned for the TRUTH!)
Also, why levers instead of stone buttons? Personally, I hate having to switch first lever on, go inside, switch indoor lever off, squeeze myself a bit out the door to switch outdoor lever off and lock myself in my home lol.

The floor inside of the home is just a decoration. Sorry for any trouble and time loss it may have caused you.
And the levers, We signify Levers as "Keys" in the game. Although yes, It is very hard to close your door, We used them so that they will be keys not only for your house, But for (Maybe) the use of replacing quest keys that you had lost.

Hopefully some friends will play.
I wouldn't want you to miss out on the fun. xD
Also, You can play solo. That'll work too.
