Man, this just doesn't work for me :sad.gif:
I lag even more with this mod. Also, the greater the render distance I have, the lower the FPS.
For example, on Tiny I get 3 FPS max...

I can see this helped other people though, so good job/

my fps has gone for 7 - 10 to 60 - 70 with this, i am so happy.

For me the 1.4_01 Optimine makes almost no difference (+1-2 FPS).
The older 1.3 Optimine was working OK for me (+5-10 FPS).
Other people have reported significant FPS gain with Optimine.

OptiFog in FAST gives me +80% in FPS and more terrain is clearly visible so even shorter rendering distances are playable.

Hmm... I guess I'll be switching to Optifog for the time being.

I don't really need Optimine (etc) for performance on my desktop, but I hate the way the fog looks on normal/small distance render settings. This is awesome for making fog less intrusive! Thanks for making it!

I tried this mod, and I could not log into my SMP server.

Funny, I crash while on Fancy Fog, just fine on Fast though. My graphic card is 4500MHD, and I'm using OptiMine. Maybe it's conflicting with the mod?

Okay, I can get this to work with Optimine. I also have the CAF with fogfix, and instead of ~12 FPS I'm getting 18-24 FPS. I installed this after optimine. It's working for me, so yeah.

Also, with this, you will not be able to play on fancy graphics, as it crashes, but playing on fast is just fine. If you're using this for performance help, then it shouldn't make a difference.

anyway to make this compatible with nature overhaul it also uses the mw class and id rather have natureoverhaul instead of optimine

I guess I'll install this again, maybe i'll see a difference.

And do we need to install modloader for this?

Eagerly awaiting optimine compatibility, since that's a dealbreaker on my system.
