I need to decide what to add next to MineBack Ultimate. I have lots of ideas I could do, prehaps you good forum folk could help me choose, or even suggest something?
My ideas are (to possibly include, not yet included):
Mob Painter (quick way to add Entities of any type onto a map).
Adventure creater (a random story generator)
Map Flattener (to flatten any chunk or region to a specific height and top with grass)
Pyramid Creator (quick way to plonk down a pyramid)
I've got more, but those are the ones on top of my mind right now. Welcome any suggestions or feedback

For some reason this evening my Mineback Ultimate has completely quit working. The program acts like it is trying to start, gets the spinning cursor showing it is trying to start and then just stops. Checking the windows task manager does not show the program or any processes I can detect as part of the program are still running. All Minecraft files seem intact and I can stop and start Minecraft with no problem. The files in the backup folder all seem to be there.
---
EDIT:
Okay, well my derp. Turns out my system seems to have corrupted the Microsoft .NET 4 framework files. Just by luck I decided to do a repair on the files and it fixed it. Sorry for the false alarm. Wasn't your program at all. It was just the one I was running which I am guessing was using the .NET structure. At least that is what it seems.

No problems, and I'm glad you've solved it ^^ :). Your post will be helpfull too incase anyone else gets similar issues! Thanks.
I noticed the mob-clearning isn't working entirely correctly in the current release. It goes through clearning the mobs alright but when it comes to save the changes it only check the dirty flag on the main record so unless some other edit happens it doesn't save the changes =/. Sorry, my bad, I'll release the fix tommorow with some extra goodies (tell you more then ^^).

Explosions are fun, but when you have half the map exploding and no way to stop it it can be a little less so .
So, I've updated MineBack Ultimate with a new command to allow you to forstall / end an explosive chain reaction in a region. To use it, right click on a world in the world list and choose 'Edit World' then right click on a region in the region grid and choose the option 'Stop Cascading Events (TNT,Fire, Flooding, Eruption)'. I've tested it with explosives and falling sand events, I need to double check with the fire flooding and Lava stopping (it will definitely clear all tick events but I still will need to review wether I might additionally need to remove entity tags which was required for TNT and falling sand).

Right, added the first step in furthur improving modding (mod) support with MineBack Ultimate.
I've added a summary screen which, using the data placed in the world by FML (Forge Mod Loader) summarises the mods registered against the world (this was added for the convinience of people using MineBack Ultimate / Professional and the Forge).
I have also added summary of other world and player meta data such as weather, time of day, game days, health, experience etc.
The summary pane will be updated moving forward as any relevent new world wide information is available and usefull to know without having to launch the game client.

Finally, I've finished the Mod'ing update to MineBack (Professional and Ultimate only).
I've just added basic mod'ing support for the moment, to access mod'ing support tick the 'details' box to get a summary of the world then click the "Modding Helper" button.
The new screen will walk you through the basics of extracting and updating the game graphics, sound, replacing Java Classes etc. All the updates to these aspects will require external tools (e.g. Graphic Editor, Sound Editor, Java Decompiler / Compiler).
I'll try to write up a quick tutorial on the MineBack website next week (time permitting).

Agg nooooooooooooooooooo... It seems I broke the 'restore from archive' option in release v10.0.0.5 =|. The backups are all saved correctly, so noone will lose anything but will be in for a shock if they restore an archived version :(.
I'll have a fix out in about an hour. Sorry for any problems this has caused. Will post when its released.

*phew* released the fix .. can any registered user who's still running v10.5.0.0 (or older) please update via the link http://mineback.kvkc...Back/Update.asp (you will need to have your registration code, feel free to mail me if you need a reminder). Sorry this one got missed :|, I tend to not use the archive option as I have enough diskspace available. With the new mod'ing update I'd made some changes affecting that area and this got overlooked.
I'll try to enhance the mod'ing toolset this week. Thanks to everyone whos registered .
I have a question about using MineBack with MultiMC. As I am sure you know, one of the great features of MultiMC is the ability to have more than one version of Minecraft including mods available from a single interface. In setting up this ability MultiMC moves the default location of the various Minecraft files and builds its own directory structure allowing those versions (instances as they call them) to exist separately without the user having to worry about where the saves are, etc.
I have been using MultiMC for a long time along with MineBack but only recently have I had the need to be able to backup saves from more than one MultiMC instance. Is there an easy way to tell MineBack which instance I want to use and where the backup should go without having to change the actual paths settings inside MineBack?
Sorry if these instructions have already been given but I did some looking around and didn't see the best method for doing this.
Love MineBack Ultimate! been using it Feb and it has saved my bacon on numerous occasions. More recently, I've started using FeedTheBeast and associated mod packs. I've figured out hoe to change the MineBack configuration to support the different mod packs, albeit, one at a time(must reconfig when switching mod packs). However, FTB has a new modpack called "new World" and when I change my config to back it up, I get "Parse Error". I don't get this with other mod packs. New World is based off MC 1.5.2, though.
I upgraded to the most recent version of MBu, but I still get the error. So far, I've been unable to get an automated backup on this mod pack.

Hi Everyone,
My appologies there have been no updates for a while.
There has been an accident in the family and it has effected my free time and I have had to repriorities things for a while. I mention it only so you will hopefully understand the delays.
I do have some time today though yay. Will be good to get back to a world where blocks fix everything ;).
Heyo KVKConsultancy! Great work there. Works perfect for me with the normal Minecraft Launcher but it doesnt like to work with MultiMC. The window just goes into "Not-Responding-Mode"
Is there a way you could fix that? Also something.. why can i only type into the last (Game Client Filespec) line in the settings?
Hi hatecreeper,
Thanks for taking the time to post that issue. I'll see if I cannot resolve it for you before the weekend (circumstances permitting and things are looking good for that).
Thanks Laguy442, for your tips!
Really appreachiate it.

Hi ruphskunk,
If your happy to zip up and email a sample of the modded world I can go through the MineBack code and fix the issue to fully support the Mod :).
You can email it to me at : mineback_support (/at symbol;) kvkconsultancy.co.uk (I've not written it in standard form so hopefully it will avoid any junk mail parsers).
If you get it to me before the weekend I will try to add that to the other update
I'm hoping now my brothers situation is more settled I'll be able to get back to more regular updates! *fingers crossed*

YAY Finally working on this today :D.
So I downloaded the new MineCraft launcher... and OMG what >.<.
I will be very happy to update the MineBack Ultimate's launcher, because there is no way im using that bloated overkill of a launcher which spams the internet on load without asking (obviously massively focused on Mojangs own intersests and not giving a great experience for the end user).
So, yes.. working today on improving / accounting for the new launcher.
For anyone new to MineBack, the original versions all still work and don't need the launcher to operate correctly. As long as MineBack is running and the auto-backup box is ticked, your covered.
My ideas are (to possibly include, not yet included):

I made the time, heres the guide : Modding MineCraft using MineBack Ultimate.
This is a good point, is it modding, mod'ing or modifying? or are they all acceptable? (anyone?)

Oh, also, would anyone like any specific guides / how to's?
